New Entrants to the Public Sector commence on the first point of the Scale Purpose Bord Bia aims to position Irish food and drink as world-class, high-quality, distinctive, and produced by a diverse range of creative producers from a unique island location. Our purpose is to promote Ireland's outstanding food, drink, and horticulture globally, supporting the growth and sustainability of producers. This role involves developing expertise in the global food manufacturing channel, contributing to the growth of Irish products with high quality and sustainability credentials, targeting global manufacturing customers with multi-country footprints. You will support the development and implementation of Bord Bia's client support services for the global manufacturing channel. What you'll do Monitor key players in the global food manufacturing channel to understand their corporate objectives, business strategies, sustainability goals, and sourcing needs and criteria. Identify and develop knowledge of emerging or lesser-known global manufacturing players, especially those with sustainability sourcing goals. Become an expert in channel insights, sharing relevant information with Irish client companies and colleagues, following Bord Bia's best practices. Manage relationships with key global manufacturing customers under the guidance of the Global Relationship Manager, focusing on sustainability, sector knowledge, consumer insights, and talent. Create customer plans for approval by the Global Relationship Manager, emphasizing Bord Bia's sustainability credentials. Maintain up-to-date customer records on Salesforce CRM platform. Deliver client services relevant to the global manufacturing channel, such as facilitating introductions and coordinating engagements. Manage budgets according to Bord Bia's policies and operating model. About You Essential Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities Knowledge: At least 3 years of experience in the Irish Food, Drink & Horticulture industry. Ability to generate and distill market insights. Skills & Capabilities: Digital-first mindset. Comfortable with an agile culture focused on continuous improvement. Business development and key customer management skills. Relationship management with suppliers, trade customers, media, and government. Experience in marketing, including international marketing. Experience in managing high-profile events or projects. Fluent in written and spoken English. Strong communication, presentation, and report writing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities Knowledge: Experience working in different cultures. Skills & Capabilities: Influencing and negotiating skills.
