Role Overview
A Mechanical Project Manager is required to deliver mechanical building services packages on commercial and residential construction projects based in Galway City. The role involves managing mechanical installation works from project award through to commissioning and final handover, working closely with site teams, subcontractors, consultants and client representatives.
This position suits a candidate with a strong building services background and proven mechanical installation experience who is comfortable leading site activity and coordinating multiple stakeholders on live projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage mechanical building services works from project award through to commissioning and handover
* Plan and sequence mechanical installation activities in line with overall project programmes
* Coordinate site teams and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to specification
* Monitor site progress and resolve technical, coordination and programme-related issues
* Support mechanical budgets, cost control, forecasting and procurement activities
* Review subcontractor applications, variations and change control in line with contract requirements
* Manage technical queries, RFIs and design coordination with consultants and internal teams
* Oversee quality control, testing, commissioning, snag closure and project documentation
Requirements
* Degree or trade background in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
* Strong background in mechanical installation across commercial and residential developments
* Proven experience delivering HVAC, pipework and associated mechanical systems
* Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate site-based activities effectively
* Solid understanding of construction sequencing and building services integration
* Strong organisational and communication skills
