We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Personal Care Assistant to join our team in Arklow, Co. Wicklow. We have full-time opportunities within our team in an Adult Respite House in Arklow, Co. Wicklow
Contract Type: Permanent Post
Contract Hours: 39 hours per week
Salary Scale: €32,639 - €39,499 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI's (Long Service Increments)
This pay scale is subject to increases in 2025 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.
Annual Leave Entitlement: 30 days pro rata per annum
Overview Of The Post
The role of the Personal Care Assistant is to support in the delivery of high-quality respite service, including assisting Service Owners in their personal needs whilst attending their respite break, and to access all centre activities.

The Successful Candidate Will Have
Essential Criteria:
* FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Social Care or relevant health related area
* 1 years' experience in providing personal care to adults.
* Full clean driving license.
* Eligible to work in the State
Desirable Criteria
* Experience working with adults and families with physical/sensory/intellectual disabilities.
* Experience in driving people with disabilities on public roads.
* Experience working with adults within the community.
* Experience with PEG feeding and catheterisation.
