Excel Recruitment are seeking applications from professional coach drivers to join a leading transport provider in Galway.
Responsibilities of Coach Driver:
1. Safely operate a Class D public service vehicle along scheduled routes
2. Adapt to a rotating shift schedule (e.g., early, late, split, night/weekend shifts)
3. Deliver excellent customer service: assist passengers and handle queries professionally
4. Maintain compliance with health, safety, transport regulations, and required documentation (tachograph, CPC, logbooks)
5. Perform pre and post-shift vehicle inspections and report any issues
6. Adhere to company policies and represent the organisation positively
Shift Pattern:
7. Rotatory shift schedule-likely on a multi-week (e.g., 5-week) rota, covering early starts, late finishes, night shifts, and split shifts
8. Shift system in operation Early /Middle / Late:
9. Early shift ranges from 04.35 to 09.59
10. Middle shift ranges from 10.00 to 13.59
11. Late shift ranges from 14:00
Qualifications & Requirements:
12. Full, clean Irish Class D driving licence
13. Digital Tachograph card
14. Valid Driver CPC for public service vehicles
15. Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
16. Flexibility to work unsocial hours, weekends, nights, and public holidays
Training & On-boarding:
17. Comprehensive 3 week training program including:
18. Route familiarisation
19. Customer care and safety protocols
20. Tachograph and CPC training (possibly offered in-house)
