Join my West Cork based client and take charge of maintenance, efficiency, and safety in their busy food production plant Your Role: You'll be on the front line of equipment maintenance - ensuring minimal downtime, optimising performance, and keeping everything in top shape. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a busy, cooperative environment What You'll Do: Develop & manage a preventative maintenance program to keep downtime to a minimum Inspect, troubleshoot & repair equipment, from packaging lines to refrigeration units Keep detailed records of maintenance, inspections & repairs Work with external providers for specialised repairs & installations Oversee contractors to ensure quality, safety & efficiency Manage spare parts, tools & resources to keep operations running smoothly Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining top reliability Ensure all maintenance meets safety & food production standards Support the production team with technical guidance & troubleshooting Respond swiftly to emergency maintenance to keep things moving What You'll Bring: Relevant experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment Experience in a BRC-certified food production facility (a plus) Knowledge of mechanical, electrical & refrigeration systems Strong troubleshooting skills - you love solving problems Ability to coordinate external contractors & manage repairs Solid IT skills (MS Office & maintenance management systems) Understanding of safety & compliance standards in food production A flexible, proactive, and results-driven mindset Ready to take on a hands-on role where YOU make a real impact?
