Deputy Store Manager – Designate
Our client, a prestigious and iconic department store, is seeking a Designate Deputy Store Manager to support several high-performing branches in Dublin. With a reputation for outstanding customer service and rich heritage, this is an excellent opportunity to thrive within a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment spanning Fashion (ladies', men's, children), Home, and Food departments.
As a Designate Deputy Store Manager, you will oversee commercial success and operational excellence across multiple Dublin locations. Working closely with General Store Managers, you'll lead and develop sizeable teams across Fashion, Home, and Food departments. Your focus will be on delivering outstanding customer experiences while mentoring a high-performing team of department managers and sales professionals.
Key Responsibilities as Designate Deputy Store Manager
1. Drive sales growth and profitability across Fashion and Home departments in key Dublin stores
2. Assist the General Store Manager in managing operational and commercial performance within high-traffic stores.
3. Motivate and support department teams – including managers, supervisors, and sales associates – to consistently achieve and exceed KPIs
4. Elevate the customer experience through expert service, product knowledge, and visual presentation standards
5. Develop team performance via ongoing training, engagement, and leadership
6. Analyse trading and P&L data to identify opportunities and implement strategic action plans
Skills and Requirements for this role
7. Experience managing high-volume retail stores, leading teams 30+ employees to achieve operational and sales growth.
8. Comfortable with travel across multiple Dublin locations, ensuring consistent performance and standards
9. Excellent communication skills with a track record in team development, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
10. Results driven with a proven ability to lead and manage large teams, consistently meeting and exceeding KPIs

11. Competitive salary – 60k-65k DOE
12. Flexible 4-day or 5 day working option (40 hours per week)
