Job Title: Water Treatment Process Operator
About the Role:
The Clare Region requires a highly skilled Water Treatment Process Operator to join our team. The role involves working with the Drinking Water Treatment process, requiring a strong understanding of its intricacies.
The successful candidate will have experience in operating and maintaining drinking water treatment plants, with a background in instrumentation and/or science disciplines advantageous. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is proficiency in computers and ability to use spreadsheets and other basic computer programs.
Additional requirements include experience in drinking water parameter testing and process optimisation, as well as operating mechanical and electrical plant and machinery. Experience in SCADA, PLC programmes and instrumentation calibrations/servicing is also necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process monitoring/analysis and completing record sheets
* Taking process samples and on-site laboratory analysis
* Process optimisation and heavy manual work
* General housekeeping activities such as cleaning and washing plant and areas down and grounds maintenance
Requirements:
Experience in the operation and maintenance of drinking water treatment plants; experience in drinking water parameter testing and process optimisation; experience in operating mechanical and electrical plant and machinery required. Computer literacy and ability to use spreadsheets and other basic computer programmes necessary.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Qualification in instrumentation and/or science discipline advantageous
* Good use of reading English and excellent inter-personal skills and communication skills
* Strong collaborative skills with an ability to work effectively on your own or in a team environment
