Primary Care Counsellor Opportunity
This role is for accredited counsellors to provide short-term counselling in primary care settings to medical card holders aged 18 years and over.
Counselling services are provided under the governance of a national service.
Successful applicants may also have an opportunity to provide trauma-informed counselling contracts to adult survivors of childhood trauma, depending on relevant clinical experience.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A recognised Level 7 qualification in human science or equivalent in a health and social care profession or health-related profession.
* A degree or post-graduate qualification in counselling, psychotherapy, or a related field recognised by IACP or ICP.
* Full accredited membership with IACP or ICP, or commenced registration with PSI as a clinical or counselling psychologist.
* A minimum of two years relevant post-qualification experience, although this requirement may not apply for some full-time post-graduate qualifications.
