Are you a strategic procurement leader ready to take the next step in your career? Our client, a fast-growing multinational manufacturing business based in Shannon, is seeking a Purchasing & Procurement Manager to lead their operational purchasing team and drive global supply chain excellence.
This is a newly created role, reflecting the company’s evolution from SME to medium-sized enterprise. You’ll be joining a dynamic, engineered-to-order environment where innovation, speed, and precision are key.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead and mentor a team of 3 buyers in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
* Manage global supplier relationships across Europe, China, and the USA.
* Drive KPIs around on-time delivery, cost savings, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
* Implement Supplier Managed Inventory (SMI) strategies and freight cost reduction initiatives.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and warehousing teams.
* Maintain procurement policies aligned with ISO and internal quality standards.
* Support accurate forecasting and long-term supplier planning.
What We’re Looking For
* 5+ years’ experience in procurement leadership within manufacturing or engineering.
* Strong track record in supplier management, cost control, and performance delivery.
* Commercially savvy with experience negotiating international supplier and logistics contracts.
* Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
