Mechanical Construction Manager Role
The successful Mechanical Construction Manager will lead the delivery of mechanical process piping, packages, and site safety management on a high-profile pharmaceutical project in Athlone.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead site safety in collaboration with the safety and project teams, ensuring a secure working environment for all personnel.
* Manage site quality assurance, working closely with the QA Manager to maintain the highest standards.
* Assist in maintaining and tracking the project schedule, ensuring timely completion.
* Oversee and control project costs, including labour, materials, plant, and variations.
* Supervise day-to-day site operations, ensuring progress aligns with project goals and objectives.
* Manage the on-site team, coordinating across all disciplines to deliver results.
* Monitor subcontractor performance, progress, and manpower levels, fostering a culture of collaboration.
* Conduct weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors and package leads, driving progress and resolving issues.
* Manage snagging and punch lists in support of QA/QC, ensuring a high-quality finish.
* Report labour hours for direct staff and subcontractors, providing accurate and timely information.
* Lead site meetings and reviews throughout the project lifecycle, keeping stakeholders informed and engaged.
* Support project close-out, including documentation, handover, and resource relocation.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Mechanical Construction Manager role or similar.
* A trade background or relevant third-level qualification in engineering or construction.
* Demonstrated ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and construction programmes effectively.
* A strong knowledge of the complete design and construction lifecycle.
* Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
* A full, clean driver's license.
