This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded accountant to join a rapidly growing business in a key Finance Business Partner role.

You will work closely with both the Finance Director and Facilities Director, providing high-quality financial insight, analysis, and support to drive profitable growth across the Facilities Management (FM) division. This is a fast-paced, hands-on commercial finance position offering broad exposure across all areas of the finance function from tender pricing to performance reporting and systems development.

Key Responsibilities

* Act as a trusted advisor to operational and commercial teams, helping to improve financial performance and strategic decision-making.
* Commercial Finance & Reporting
* Partner with the Facilities Director and contract managers to review monthly performance, providing clear analysis of contract profitability, cost trends, and operational KPIs.
* Lead month-end gross margin reporting for the FM division, investigating anomalies and explaining results to key stakeholders.
* Support the production of Board packs and group reporting, ensuring accurate, timely financial information for senior management.
* Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term plans in collaboration with operations and finance colleagues.
* Provide financial input and challenge on new tenders, pricing models, and contract renewals to ensure competitive yet profitable bids.
* Conduct post-project reviews and margin analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
* Assist with financial reviews as required.
* Systems & Process Development
* Support the Finance and IT teams on the implementation of the new ERP system (go-live planned for 2026), including testing, training, data validation, and report development.
* Contribute to ongoing improvements in financial processes, reporting quality, and data integrity.

Strategic & Ad Hoc Support

* Work with the Finance Director on group-level initiatives and ad hoc financial analysis.
* Drive continuous improvement across the finance function, focusing on delivering actionable insight to the business.

Qualifications & Experience

* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 2+ years PQE.
* Proven experience within Facilities Management, Construction, Engineering, or a related project-based environment.
* Strong understanding of contract accounting, cost control, and WIP management.
* Experience supporting tenders, pricing, or commercial decision-making.
* Exposure to new system implementation or process improvement projects is desirable.
* Commercially focused with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Confident communicator able to influence and challenge non-finance stakeholders.
* High attention to detail, combined with the ability to see the bigger picture.
* Proactive, energetic, and adaptable - comfortable working in a fast-growing, dynamic business.
