About The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced (3+ years) social media and content professional to join Avoca and develop effective and successful strategies to drive business growth and revenue.
Reporting to the Marketing & PR Manager the successful applicant will take ownership for the company's digital strategy and all social media activity. You will also partner closely with the Buying and E-Commerce Teams on creating engaging content to confirm Avoca's position as a leading Irish luxury retailer.
Responsibilities
* Designing, implementing and optimizing brand social media strategy via competitive research, audience identification, reporting, benchmarking, and messaging.
* Creation of on-brand, high quality imagery and video content for distribution across all social channels. Editing of imagery on Photoshop and video in PremierePro or equivalent. A flair for all things content creation.
* Collaborating on copy with the Brand Copywriter, e-commerce requirements with the E-commerce & online content manager.
* Designing compelling social media content in multiple formats (Images, Gifs, Video, Photography) that are in line with brand guidelines.
* Creating a weekly Social Media Content Calendar and scheduling/posting content to multiple platforms.
* Managing relationships with relevant partners (e.g., brands and retail locations).
* Creating and measuring social media objectives according with business goals and digital strategy to ensure efforts are meeting objectives and contribute to overall success.
* Provide excellent customer service across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TripAdvisor and OpenTable. Follow up customer feedback with relevant contacts within the business to efficiently solve problems and ensure customers leave with a positive impression of the company.
* Managing active customer-focused SM listening and escalation where needed, and monitoring and improving content based on user feedback, research and data.
* Liaising with brands and internal departments to create relevant social media content in a timely manner (often reactive).
Qualifications
* 3+ years' experience in a similar SM and content role, with retail experience preferable.
* Social Media, digital marketing or content marketing qualification required.
* Highly organised with an ability to multi-task, prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
* Proven working experience in designing and implementing social media marketing strategies or as a digital content creator.
* You'll be highly creative with a talent for compelling design and stories in multiple formats, and strong photography and videography skills are needed for this role.
* High levels of communication and analytical skills.
* You'll be a passionate and engaging storyteller and fully understand the importance of "consumer insight" based planning.
* Experience using SM listening scheduling and reporting tools such as Hootsuite, with Google Analytics experience a plus.
* Experience working with self-serve social media advertising platforms.
* You'll be a top-level communicator and analyst, with the skills to listen, evaluate and make decisions based on both quantitative and qualitative data.
* Outgoing, energetic, and happy to initiative & personal responsibility to deliver business growth.
* Full Irish drivers' licence and own transport required.
* Flexibility re: working hours. Normal working hours will be Monday-Friday 9-5, however there will be requirements on occasion to work outside of these hours at marketing events at evenings or weekends.
