The role requires solid collaboration with internal and external partners to meet Operational Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), monitor partner performance, report out to Leadership on Partner performance, support expansion / growth and support technology teams in building sophisticated dashboards which solve complex business problems with a data driven approach. The successful candidate will contribute to creating and maintaining clear strategic vision.As an Associate Director, you will be responsible for evaluation, implementation, and monitor internal and external Vendor Performance.This is an exciting role in which the individual will have an opportunity to directly partner with executive level business champions to identify, evaluate and deploy new and existing capabilities that create value and address affordability for our members.Schedule: This is a full-time position with standard working hours ofMonday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Dublin or Letterkenny office and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model.Primary Responsibilities of the Associate Director Business Process:As an Associate Director, you will be responsible for Operations Excellence and initiatives that will require strategic thinking, strong relationship building and advanced problem-solving skills and will need to act as a leader providing direction on different business approachCommunicate progress and results for their area of responsibility to UHCPI Leadership, Optum and external partnersThe individual will need to have the capabilities to convert business statistic to tangible and actionable initiatives that directly impact Provider experience or Operations along with the ability to identify risks to the businessArticulate vision and capability roadmaps, challenge the status quo and provide alternative solutions. Throughout this process, you will need to gather multiple viewpoints, listen for understanding, seek clarifications, and provide alternatives to achieve objectives as a leaderContinuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Waste and Error ProgramUtilize data and analytics to monitor KPIs and make data-driven decisions to improve operationsIdentify, lead specific strategic projects/initiatives while also keeping track of all initiatives within the overall strategyConduct reviews and joint goal planning sessions with Partners on Operations and associated initiativesBuilding, and promoting relationships with Business Operations LeadersCollaborating with peer teams (Data analysts, Project Management, Product Management, Operations Leaders)Provide project direction and performance feedback to Leadership as appropriateAnticipate customer needs, proactively develop & deliver solutions to meet them, report out appropriatelyYou will be rewarded and recognised for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role, as well as providing development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications of the Associate Director Business Process:Bachelor's Degree with relevant experience in Operations management, performance monitoring, change management and building strategy or equivalent experienceSolid communication skills and experience communicating at Senior Leadership levelsDemonstrated effective project ownership, management, drive & deliveryStakeholder management experience, dealing with multiple stakeholders, and forming effective partnershipsSolid business acumen, with the ability to strategically consult with the businessDemonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely in writing and orally to individuals and groupsProven extensive operations experience in management / leadership roleExtensive experience of developing strong relationships at different levels of the businessExtensive experience of being able to monitor departments goalsPreferred Qualifications of the Associate Director Business Process:Knowledge of US Insurance/Healthcare industryExperience with Payment Integrity business or Healthcare Financial ServicesExperience in healthcare industry, either from a pharmaceutical or consulting background.Significant experience in data analytics, ideally with experience working with healthcare-related data (e.g. medical claims) or in Business Operations environmentIdentifying and driving Innovation, or related functionsPlease note you must currently be eligible to work and remain indefinitely without any restrictions in the country to which you are making an application.
