Le Meas Executive Search has exclusively partnered with a Global Insurance company to hire an Investment Accountant on an initial 18 month fixed term contract to join their Dublin operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Take a lead role in the Investment accounting process including running, maintaining, controlling and improving the operating model.
* Responsible for validating that Investment accounting numbers are prepared in line with Group accounting policies and are complete and fit for use for monthly reporting.
* Responsible for the delivery of Investment Accounting reports to various Group entities Ledgers ensuring that they are all fully reconciled to the investment accounting system on a monthly basis.
* Responsible for the creation and maintenance of investment accounting process and procedure documents ensuring appropriate documentation of all tasks undertaken and included in the monthly run book.
* Review and reconciliation of all Investment Asset NAVs produced by their outsourced partners.
* Produce quarterly performance commentaries on investment assets for business review meetings.
* Support the wider team in the delivery of the services to business entities as required.
* Support in the embedding risk culture and control framework, including identification of risks and controls and remedial actions to address all points.
Qualifications
* Recently qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA)
* Experience in Investment Accounting (IFRS and Solvency II reporting, a distinct advantage) including a working knowledge on Investment Funds /NAVs.
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a Finance or Investments role in the Financial Services or Insurance industry
* Experience of working in a dynamic company environment with an appreciation of both BAU and more project like work
