Our client is actively hiring full-time Healthcare Assistant candidates to join the team, offering excellent pay and conditions in a modern, purpose-built nursing home located in Dublin North.

The Health Care Assistant reports directly to the Person in Charge.
The role:
Assist in providing high-standard holistic care, respecting residents' dignity and privacy.
The Health Care Assistant will:
* Assist in delivering holistic care, promoting residents’ equality and dignity.
* Carry out delegated tasks involving direct care and activities of daily living under supervision, such as washing, toileting, dressing, and feeding.
* Act as the named Carer for specific residents as allocated.
* Respect residents' privacy and promote independence.
* Maintain neat and presentable living areas.
* Communicate effectively with residents and their families, making them feel welcome.
* Know all residents by name.
* Assist in palliative and end-of-life care.
* Respond promptly to call bells.
* Help serve meals and assist residents with eating and drinking.
* Escort residents when needed.
* Follow all policies related to health, safety, infection control, and waste disposal.
* Be willing to achieve FETAC Level 5 in Health Care Assistance and undertake ongoing training.
* Perform other duties as assigned by management.
* Maintain confidentiality regarding residents and work operations.
Requirements:
* Completed education to leaving cert level or equivalent.
* Hold or be undertaking FETAC Level 5 (or equivalent) in Healthcare Support.
* Experience supporting people with disabilities.
* Possess or be working towards a Full Manual Driving License and willing to drive for work.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Eligibility to work in Ireland.
* Good English language skills, both verbal and written.
* Computer literate; experience with online care management systems is an advantage.
* Personal integrity and trustworthiness.
* Positive attitude.
* European Citizenship or Stamp 4 required.
On offer includes Sunday premium (basic plus 30%), Night premium, approximately 38.5 hours/week, full-time indefinite contract, parking, and lunch.
