We seek an experienced software development engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will have opportunities to craft complex solutions and features for our Trellix Build ecosystem. The build system is integral to our software engineering, with multiple products being built and released through this system.
You will collaborate closely with fellow developers to determine software build and integration needs, provide guidance and support to product engineering developers on resolving build system and workflow issues, and participate in identifying and evaluating tools and solutions needed to address areas for improvement in the software development lifecycle.
Additionally, you will work with internal engineering stakeholders to identify constraints and solve defects rigorously, and collaborate with internal build QA teams to ensure high-quality released software.
Requirements
* 3+ years of experience with a BS/BE in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
* Good understanding of object-oriented programming and experience with at least one language such as Java, Groovy, C#, Python scripts knowledge.
* Exposure and some relational database experience with SQL Server (MySQL, Oracle).
* Working knowledge of development tools such as JIRA and Git.
* Some knowledge of supply chain management processes and how they could apply to the software development lifecycle.
* Working knowledge of cloud technologies, especially AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
* Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes or at minimum understanding their purpose in image management.
* Practical hands-on OS experience with Windows, Linux, and OSX.
* Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or equivalent.
* Nice to have but training in the role will be provided.
* Some knowledge of Continuous Integration tools such as Artifactory and Jenkins would be beneficial.
* Experience with VMware vSphere for managing and provisioning virtual infrastructure.
