Role Description
The General Manager will oversee all aspects of An Púcán Bar, ensuring well-structured procedures, strong customer focus, and consistently high standards in line with Connacht Hospitality Group requirements.
They will be responsible for achieving agreed KPIs and business objectives, maximizing profitability, and maintaining effective cost controls. The General Manager will lead and inspire the team, always keeping the customer experience at the forefront, while providing strategic guidance to the Board to ensure the company meets its goals and objectives.
Qualifications
* 3-4 years' experience as a General Manager in the hospitality industry
* Leadership, Communication, and Decision-making skills

Key Deliveribles
People & Team Management
* Compile weekly rosters to ensure appropriate staffing levels within budget.
* Lead, engage, and support the team in line with company values.
* Coach, mentor, and manage performance; address disciplinary issues in consultation with HR.
* Work with HR on recruitment, retention, and training initiatives.
* Ensure cover is in place during absences to maintain service standards.
Operational & Financial Management
* Deliver on sales, profitability, wage percentage, and GP targets.
* Manage cash handling, reconciliation, and business reports (e.g., Sales vs. Labour).
* Oversee stock control, ordering, and monthly stock meetings; address discrepancies proactively.
* Control costs and oversee waste management.
Customer Experience & Business Development
* Maintain high service standards and handle customer queries/complaints professionally.
* Develop drinks menus, promotions, and entertainment schedules within budget.
* Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to maximise business opportunities.
* Ensure atmosphere standards (music, lighting, heating) enhance the guest experience.
Compliance & Safety
* Ensure a safe, healthy, and positive work environment in line with legislation.
* Oversee security, CCTV, and risk management.
* Implement and sign off on training, SOPs, and food & beverage standards.
