As a Systems Administrator and Software Developer, you will be responsible for maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring the systems are secure and functional.
You will work closely with the Chief Technical Officer to create custom applications and software, including bug fixing, updates, feature additions, and active development.
The primary direction comes from the CTO, while liaising closely with Leadership Development Officers and directors.
We provide high-quality language services supported by leading edge technologies in three distinct business lines: translation of written text in digital formats, live multilingual conference interpreting, and community interpreting for public sectors.
Our office is located in Oranmore, Co. Galway. It is crucial that you live close to the office and are available on-site in case of problems requiring urgent on-site support.
Main responsibilities include:
* Salesforce.com Administration
* Maintenance of several online services
* Development and maintenance of proprietary applications using PHP and HTML/CSS
* Proficiency managing Linux environments including command-line operations
* PostgreSQL administration
* Familiarity with Git for source control
* Managing and maintaining internal server and network infrastructure
* Supporting all teams with hardware and software requirements and issue resolution
* Meeting clients together with operational and support team members
* Tender responses together with relevant tender teams

Essential Requirements:
* Degree in mathematics, computer science, software engineering, or related field
* Demonstrable further skills development courses
* A minimum of 5 years experience with PHP, or related field
* Qualification as a systems administrator not required; however, setting up test and deployment environments essential
Pay rises and entry level salaries dependent on depth of experience and value-add brought by individual
Biannual self-appraisal reviews identify development opportunities; team workshops and other training events throughout year also available
Terms:
* 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday
* Salary negotiable depending on experience
