Dains Ireland is expanding its Tax team, and we’re looking for an experienced professional to take the next step in their career as Tax Assistant Manager or Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to build on your tax experience within a growing firm, working across a varied client portfolio and a broad range of compliance and advisory work. Key Responsibilities
Manage and review personal and corporate tax compliance for a varied client portfolio
Deliver tax planning and consultancy services (e.g., structuring, R&D tax credits, VAT advice)
Assist with drafting technical memos/letter of advice to support advisory projects
Lead or support on ad hoc projects including succession planning, restructuring, and cross-border tax
Support and mentor junior tax staff (including reviewing work and providing feedback)
Maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted point of contact
Stay current on changes in tax legislation and share knowledge with the team
Support engagement management including deadlines, WIP tracking and billing
Experience & Qualifications Needed:
CTA qualified (or equivalent)
Typically 4-7+ years’ experience in tax, preferably within practice
Strong knowledge of Irish tax legislation and compliance requirements
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
A commercial mindset with a proactive approach to client needs
Experience supervising or reviewing the work of junior team members is an advantage
