Our client have a new opening for an
OpenEdge Software Developer
to help keep their systems running smoothly around the clock. As an OpenEdge Software Developer, your primary responsibility will be to deliver and maintain a range of in-house applications developed using OpenEdge technology. Weekend, evening, and night shifts are required on a rotational basis.This is a fantastic opportunity for developers who thrive on problem-solving, love variety in their work, and want to be part of a business where your impact is immediate and visible.
This position can be done fully remote based - the expected work pattern is from 6pm -6am 3 days on 4 days off.
Responsibilties:
* Develop, maintain, and enhance applications built with OpenEdge technology.
* Contribute across the full software development lifecycle.
* Write clean, testable, efficient code.
* Support and troubleshoot applications and data issues—keeping systems live 24/7.
* Deliver first-line support as needed.
* Monitor, review, and improve application performance, security, and scalability.
* Carry out routine maintenance (patches, updates, data checks).
* Work with project teams to bring new ideas and improvements to life.
* Take ownership, use your initiative, and be a trusted problem-solver.
Experience Required:
* Degree in Computer Science or Software Development
* Experienced or Graduate who has experience working with Open Edge development or other technologies
* Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Skills:
* Clean, structured coding ability.
* Strong troubleshooting and analytical mindset.
* Great communication and teamwork.
