Job Overview:
This role involves working as a Speech and Language Therapist, delivering an effective service that aligns with organisational priorities and department objectives. You will be part of the Adult Clinical Support Team within the Speech & Language Department.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement efficient plans for activities and resource allocation
* Cultivate sufficient clinical skills in assessment, intervention, and diagnostics to meet the specific needs of the caseload
* Maintain awareness of policy, legislative, and professional requirements to ensure compliance with standards
* Ensure accurate and up-to-date records and technical data are maintained and readily available
* Adhere to health and safety standards and operational guidelines, ensuring equipment is checked and functioning correctly
* Collaborate with service users and their families/carers, along with relevant stakeholders, to identify and achieve goals
* Build strong relationships across all areas of the service, fostering a common understanding
* Attend and contribute to relevant clinical, professional, and service meetings
Requirements:
* A qualification recognised by CORU in Speech and Language Therapy
* Experience working with children/young people/adults with disabilities is advantageous (including placement experience)
* Registration with CORU or eligibility for registration
* An appropriate set of professional values and beliefs, adhering to professional standards set by relevant bodies
* An undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in dysphagia
* Excellent time management and IT/computer skills
* Eligibility to work in Ireland
* A full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle
