Job Title: Business and Finance Analyst - retail and catering
Description: Business and Finance Analyst required for MDM Supermarkets Ltd, Donegal.
MDM Supermarkets Ltd trading as Cosgroves Centra, operate a multi million euro retail outlet in Donegal, incorporating a large Centra convenience and retail store, petrol station and diner.
Offerings include a Centra shop, 140 seat diner, off licence, deli, coffee dock, local grocery delivery service, outdoor catering service, ATM, air & vacuum machine, DRS bottle returns machine, large fresh bakery, and forecourt with petrol station.
As our business and finance analyst, based on your findings, you are expected to suggest methods of increasing the profitability and efficiency of our company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
2. Studying current business and economic trends for suitability for incorporation into MDM's business operations.
3. Financial modelling and financial analysis of all revenue streams of the business.
4. Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
5. Performing requirements analysis.
6. Analyzing current assets and liabilities and how they affect ongoing stability and risk for the business.
7. Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings and communicating the results of business analysis findings to directors and management.
8. Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
9. Working closely with clients and suppliers to maximize profitability for the company.
10. Analyzing current practices in order to update, implement and maintain best financial procedures.
11. Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
12. Analyzing the company's financial and business data for proper advising of the owners on potential financial risks and better investment opportunities and practices.
13. Performing complex financial analysis to determine a company's present and future performance.
14. Evaluating previous budgets and expenditures to develop and implement future budgets.
Requirements for this position:
1. Degree or higher level qualification in Commerce or Business Management.
2. Degree or higher level qualification in Data Analysis/Analytics.
3. Minimum 2 years work experience in financial analysis.
4. Experience in business analysis and business management.
5. Knowledge of accounting practices.
6. Experience in IT finance and business management systems.
7. Experience working with a high financial turnover business.
8. Fully IT/Computer literate.
Full time permanent position. 39 hours per week. 34,000 euro p/a salary.
