The Head of Operations will play a pivotal leadership role as part of the SLT in supporting DCCIs overall mission and strategic goals.
This position ensures that operational and financial planning are fully integrated with organisational strategy, and that risk and compliance are proactively managed.
A strong and trusted partnership with the Chief Executive is central to this role, requiring transparency, collaboration, and mutual confidence.

What You'll Be Doing?
Working closely with the Chief Executive and Heads of Department to set goals, resolve challenges, and make strategic decisions that enhance organisational effectiveness.
Positively influence colleagues to achieve results in line with organisational values and operational best practices.
Provide strong partnership and support to the Chief Executive, operating with transparency and trust.
Oversee Finance, Procurement, IT, Human Resources, Document Control, Facilities, and Corporate Services.
Act as mentor and coach to direct reports, creating a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Manage internal relations in partnership with HR, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Design and optimise business operations to improve efficiency and deliver high-quality services.
Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, including Company Law, Employment Law, Freedom of Information, and Data Protection.
Serve as Company Secretary for DCCI and its subsidiary, Showcase Ireland.
Support strategic planning and help deliver key tactical initiatives.
Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive.
Monitor and deliver performance against agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Minimum of five years experience in a senior operational leadership role, with a proven ability to implement strategies and achieve targets.
Demonstrated success in delivering on annual objectives and managing cross-functional teams.
Skilled in providing effective leadership and motivating high-performing teams through feedback and development.
Experienced in leading change initiatives while maintaining engagement across all stakeholders.
Excellent people management skills, with a talent for developing and empowering staff.
High attention to detail and a passion for efficiency and continuous improvement.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in Sage and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
required.
Degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required.
Full drivers licence.
