About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated, caring, pro‑active individual to join our friendly and dedicated radiotherapy team of 24 radiographers. Applications are invited for qualified band 5 and band 6 radiographers and for student radiographers due to qualify imminently. You will be required to be HCPC registered.
Key responsibilities
Work across all areas of the radiotherapy department using Varian TrueBeam machines, Siemens CT scanner, Raystation planning system and AlignRT.
Utilise Surface Guided Radiation Therapy (SGRT) to deliver a completely tattoo‑less department and support the introduction of new developments.
Gain competence in all department areas and actively develop expertise in areas of interest.
Participate in the training of therapy students from QMU in Edinburgh and GCU in Glasgow.
Qualifications and experience
HCPC registered radiographer.
Qualified band 5 or band 6 radiographer or qualified student radiographer.
Experience or willingness to work in a small, busy department and to gain competence in all technology platforms.
Working arrangements and benefits
Effective from 1st April 2026 the full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours with part‑time hours adjusted pro‑rata and an increased hourly rate to keep pay unaffected.
Fully tattoo‑less department using SGRT.
