Excel Recruitment are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a Senior Dietitian to join a supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team within an acute hospital setting in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. This is a full-time maternity cover contract offering valuable exposure across maternity and acute medicine services. The post is primarily split between Maternity and Acute Medicine; however, applications will be considered from candidates seeking part-time work within either specialty. You will work alongside a strong team of Management, Senior, and Staff Grade Dietitians in a collaborative and well-supported environment. Experience in Maternity and/or Acute Medicine is desirable but not essential. Relevant clinical experience to date will be considered. Key Duties and Responsibilities Provide specialist dietetic assessment, diagnosis, and nutrition care planning within the acute hospital setting. Deliver high-quality dietetic input with a focus on diabetes and/or maternity services. Provide evidence-based nutrition education and advice to patients and their families. Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, midwives, and other members of the multidisciplinary team. Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with hospital and CORU standards. Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to best-practice service delivery. Requirements BSc/MSc in Human Nutrition and Dietetics (or equivalent). Registered with CORU and INDI (essential). Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience. Experience in diabetes and/or maternity dietetics within an acute or hospital setting is highly desirable. Experience in Women's Health conditions is advantageous. Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
