Job Description
An A & P Maintenance Mechanic supports the daily needs of the maintenance operations of the customer, ensuring an outstanding experience by providing top-level service at Pentastar Aviation.
Responsibilities:
1. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and collaborates closely with the FAA, manufacturers, pilots, other Aircraft Maintenance Mechanics, and Avionics Technicians.
2. Ensure aircraft are maintained to airworthiness standards as prescribed by applicable regulations, airworthiness directives, company policies, and best practices.
3. Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair various business transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment.
4. Maintain the highest level of quality and integrity in all work performed.
5. Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results, following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents.
6. Use precision instruments and equipment to measure parts for wear, and repair or replace as required.
7. Perform other duties as may be deemed necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications:
1. Current valid FAA Airframe license; Powerplant license is a plus, with no history of infractions.
2. Recent experience with Airframe structural work on aircraft is considered a plus.
3. 3 to 10 years of relevant experience.
4. Experience working under an FAA-approved Part 145 repair station and Part 135 operations is required.
5. Inspection Authorization is a plus.
6. Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
7. Ability to troubleshoot and repair systems on aircraft airframes and engines, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, with minimal supervision.
8. Versatility and flexibility are important, as schedules may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
