Reports to: Head of Fixed Line Department Location: Greater Dublin Area / Hybrid Job Purpose The Project Manager will have full end-to-end responsibility for delivering an FTTx project with a defined start and end date, clear deliverables, financial accountability, and comprehensive documentation.
This role involves leading a team of subject matter experts and field personnel to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services, while maintaining strong customer engagement and meeting strict timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities Project Delivery & Management Own and manage the complete lifecycle of FTTx projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and budget.
Develop, maintain, and monitor project plans, process maps, and stakeholder reporting.
Identify and mitigate project risks, escalating issues where necessary.
Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety, and environmental standards.
Document lessons learned and apply continuous improvement practices.
Customer Engagement Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations and fostering strong relationships.
Lead customer meetings (MBR/QBR), prepare and validate presentation materials, and deliver KPI reports.
Promote a customer-focused approach across all project activities.
Team Leadership Manage, coach, and develop field teams to ensure high performance and adherence to standards.
Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of team members.
Drive staff satisfaction and maintain a strong team ethos.
Financial & Reporting Maintain strong financial awareness and produce weekly/monthly P&L reports.
Gather and analyze data for progress tracking against schedule, budget, and KPIs.
Develop and review project estimates using best practices and historical data.
Authority Authorized to make site-level decisions, approve payments, and implement necessary changes to ensure project success.
Minimum Requirements Minimum 3 years experience in project management and FTTx programme delivery.
Full Drivers License (Essential) Proven track record in fixed-line build rollouts, including civils, cabling, and splicing.
Strong customer engagement and relationship management skills.
Financial acumen with experience in P&L reporting.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (advanced Excel essential).
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Previous people management experience.
Knowledge of QGIS/Arc GIS is an advantage.
Telecoms/engineering administration experience desirable.
