Our client, a long-established and design-led architectural practice based in Kilkenny, is seeking to appoint a Senior Architect to join their team in a leadership capacity.This is a standout opportunity for a highly accomplished architect to step into a key role within a well-respected, award-winning studio with a rich portfolio spanning both commercial and residential sectors.With a decades-long presence in the region and a reputation for delivering work of exceptional quality, the practice handles high-profile residential schemes, bespoke private homes, and commercial developments that are often both locally significant and design-forward. Projects typically combine contemporary design values with a deep understanding of context, heritage, and craftsmanship.Role OverviewThe successful candidate will take ownership of multiple projects from early design through to completion. This is a hands-on role requiring a balance of creative leadership, technical rigour, and project management. You’ll lead client meetings, mentor junior staff, and collaborate closely with consultants and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.Ideal CandidateMinimum 10–15 years’ post-qualification experience in a reputable architectural setting.Must be registered with the RIAI or RIBA (or eligible for registration).Strong design sensibility, with a portfolio demonstrating attention to detail and conceptual clarity.Proven ability to lead teams and deliver projects through all stages.Experience across both residential and commercial sectors is preferred.Proficiency in Revit or equivalent BIM software is highly desirable.Must be living in IrelandLocation & PackageBased full-time in the studio’s Kilkenny office.Salary and package are negotiable, depending on experience and portfolio.This is a rare opportunity to join a prestigious architectural practice as a senior figure, with scope for real influence and continued professional growth.Does it sound like you?
