Responsibilities
* Act as Designated Person in charge of the Centre
* Ensure delivery of a dynamic emergent curriculum tailored to children's individual needs
* Monitor and maintain all agreed quality and safety standards
* Manage child protection issues, parent concerns, complaints, near-misses, incidents, and accidents; record and report accordingly
* Collaborate with your deputy to develop the service, source additional funding, and ensure timely application processes
* Stay updated on early childhood care and education matters via media, emails, networking, etc.
* Establish and maintain professional relationships with external agencies like TUSLA and the Early Intervention Team
* Review occupancy levels for maximum capacity and financial sustainability
* Maintain high hygiene standards in the building
* Be the Designated First Aid Person
* Be the Deputy Designated Child Protection Liaison Person
* Be the Designated Fire Safety Person
* Prepare for and support Early Years inspections, providing all necessary information
Requirements
* Minimum Level 6 qualification in childcare; Level 7/8 preferred
* At least 3 years post-qualification experience in an early years setting, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role
* In-depth knowledge of inclusive early childhood education and care
* Detailed understanding of current legislation relevant to early years
