Experienced Accounts Assistant required by a busy professional office based in Waterford City.
Working with the Partner and other members of staff, our client is seeking to recruit a professional individual with accounting experience who enjoys working in an accountancy practice or would like to work in an accountancy practice.

Responsibilities Include: Weekly and monthly processing of payroll for clients along with Revenue submissions Accounts payable, Accounts receivable and other ad hoc support on behalf of clients Bank Accounts and Bank reconciliations for clients Dealing with ongoing client queries via email and on the phone Liaising with Revenue on ad-hoc client related queries Preparation and submission of VAT for Clients Supporting the Accountants working to the CRO and Tax Deadlines Dealing with all administrative duties for the office including archiving of files, answering the phone and other ad hoc tasks Experience & Skills required Qualified Accounting Technician or 3rd Level college qualification in Accounting A minimum of 2+ years assisting in a busy Accounts Department experience essential Experience of using sage line 50, Sage Accounts, and various cloud based accounting packages Fluency in both written and spoken English essential and a must for this role Good Excel, Outlook and Word experience important A good can do, professional manner with strong communication skills essential An ability to work under your own initiative is a must.
