* Fixed-term Full-time Maternity Cover Role: We require a dental nurse for a fixed-term full-time maternity cover role.
About the Job:
The successful candidate will contribute to the provision of high-standard patient care and the efficient running of all clinical areas within the hospital and external institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing high-standard patient care within clinics and external institutions.
2. Ensuring patients are kept informed of any delays.
3. Providing high-standard clinical assistance to operators within the hospital.
4. Supporting the Clinic Nurse Manager in the efficient running of clinical areas.
5. Recording and reporting departmental stores, equipment, and supplies requirements.
6. Reporting untoward incidents and complaints.
7. Ensuring high-standard hygiene and cleanliness in clinical and patient areas.
8. Notifying Household Supervisor of areas requiring prompt attention.
9. Liaising with staff and students on cross-infection control standards.
10. Ensuring health and safety of staff and patients.
11. Implementing waste management policies.
12. Assisting with appointments, telephone inquiries, and course organisation.
13. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of clinical and non-clinical policies.
14. Communicating effectively with Director of Nursing, Clinic Nurse Managers, and fellow dental nurses.
Requirements:
* Hold a recognised Dental Nursing qualification.
* Be registered with the Dental Council of Ireland or currently in the process of registration.
* Have worked in a dental practice, hospital, or teaching environment.
* Have excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
