We offer hybrid work opportunities to operate in support of our Dublin or Castlebar OfficesSuccessful applicants will be engaged on medium and large-scale design projects across Life Science and Food & Beverage, sectors. They will be required to deliver piping design projects throughout, from Basis of Design right through to construction stage, working in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment but should also be equally comfortable taking ownership of specific areas of design.ResponsibilitiesProduce Equipment Layouts and models from vendor information.Reviewing Vendor Drawings and Process P&ID's (Piping & Instrumentation Drawings).Produce sketch isometrics from site surveys.Producing Isometric drawings from Revit / CAD filesProducing 2D drawings from Revit / CAD filesProduce 3D models of equipment, piping and supports.Setting up of Revit projects and creation of families within projectsConvert step files in Revit families using InventorResponsible for implementation of Isometric drawings from RevitClash checking for pipe clashes.CAD Design & BIM ModellingSystem walk downs and site surveys.3D Point cloud scanningProduce Material Take Off'sRequirementsExperience in pharmaceutical / clean room piping design, specifications and construction.Knowledge of current piping codes and standards.Experience levels ranging years' piping design experience -ideally pharma, food and beverage, semiconductor or advanced highly regulated process manufacturing Industries.Third level piping / mechanical qualification or time served trades qualification is desirable.Proven experience in 3D Design required – Plant 3D knowledge an advantage.Ability to work effectively within a team or on own as projects dictate.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Revit, Plant 3D, Navisworks, Word, Excel etc.Keen attention to detail.What to Do nextIf you are a motivated and experienced Piping Designer seeking your next career move, we encourage you to apply and come join our team at NIRAS.For a confidential discussion regarding this and our many other exciting opportunities with NIRAS, please contact Philip Cahill at or email your cv to
