Job Title: Electrical Transmission Line Manager
About the Role
This is a challenging opportunity to oversee medium-large scale transmission line projects from initial planning to final completion.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet all safety and quality standards.
This includes managing project planning, risk and change management, as well as coordinating project teams and stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
* Project Planning: Developing detailed project plans, defining scope, setting objectives and managing timelines.
* Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks, managing changes to the project scope and ensuring compliance with regulations.
* Cost Control: Monitoring and controlling all project costs, ensuring financial compliance and managing cash flow.
* Team Leadership: Leading and motivating project teams, assigning tasks and ensuring effective communication.
* Client Communication: Communicating with clients, stakeholders and other relevant parties to ensure project alignment and satisfaction.
* Safety and Quality: Ensuring all projects adhere to safety regulations and quality standards and implementing safety protocols.
* Project Monitoring: Regularly monitoring project progress, identifying potential delays and reporting on project status to stakeholders.
* Project Closure: Ensuring all project documentation is complete, closing out project accounts and conducting post-project evaluations.
Requirements
* Experience: Managing and delivering medium-large scale transmission line projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
* Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of electrical distribution plant items such as Switchgear, Protection, Power Transformers and Underground power cables.
* Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Customer Service Skills: Good customer service skills.
* Health and Safety: Knowledge and experience of Health & Safety Regulations.
* Project Delivery: Experience of development and delivery of varied projects to deliver safely, on-time and within budget.
* Staff Management: Experience in managing a variety of staff, carrying out appraisals, one to one meetings etc.
* IT Skills: Experience in using IT and various software.
* Driving License: Full and valid Irish Driving License.
The role will require you to travel to sites across Ireland with occasional overnight stays, as and when required. Within reason, you must be willing to cover out of hours works, where necessary.
