Elevate Partners have been retained on an exclusive basis on
behalf of a new to market Private Bank who are currently looking to hire a Head
of Fund Selection. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing
the sourcing, evaluation, and monitoring of third -party investment funds across
all major asset classes, including equities (ex -direct equities), fixed income,
and alternatives. The position plays a central role in shaping the multi -asset
investment offering, ensuring portfolios are populated with best -in -class
external managers and innovative fund solutions.
Key
responsibilities include:
· Leading the manager selection function and setting the framework
for sourcing and due diligence across asset classes.
· Driving strategic and tactical investment recommendations to align
with client objectives and broader investment strategy.
· Overseeing ongoing monitoring of fund managers, products, and
counterparties, ensuring quality and suitability of allocations.
· Building, maintaining, and leveraging senior relationships with
global asset managers and solution providers.
· Partnering with portfolio management, strategy, and other internal
teams to deliver a coherent, high -performing investment proposition.
· Acting as a visible thought leader, enhancing communications
through research, publications, and client/industry events.
· Mentoring, developing, and managing a team of investment
professionals to ensure continuous capability development.
Ideal
candidate profile:
· 15–20 years of investment experience, with significant expertise
in manager/fund selection across equities, fixed income, and alternatives
(private markets exposure advantageous).
· Strong track record in designing and implementing investment
selection frameworks and processes at scale.
· CFA charterholder (or equivalent professional qualification).
· Demonstrated leadership in ESG/SRI/sustainable investing and
integration into investment policy.
· Exceptional technical investment knowledge with a proven ability
to innovate and challenge established practices.
· Strong communicator and presenter with the ability to influence
senior stakeholders and clients.
· Highly collaborative, commercially minded, and strategically
focused.
· Proficiency with investment tools and platforms (Bloomberg,
Morningstar, etc.)
