Accounts Assistant Role
About the Role
We are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Team in Shannon, working on a hybrid basis. This is a great opportunity to work with a well-established organisation in the region.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and post month-end journals.
* Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including bank and intercompany reconciliations.
* Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns, including bi-monthly VAT returns and required reporting.
* Post bank and credit card related transactions.
* Circulate monthly reports.
* Assist with monthly/annual consolidation and management accounts processes.
* Support the Group's budgeting and reforecasting process.
* Develop and maintain internal systems and controls.
* Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
* Engage with internal and external auditors as required.
* Participate in ad-hoc analysis and one-off projects.
Requirements
* Accounting Technician qualification or relevant experience.
* Strong IT skills, with expertise in MS Office products (especially Excel).
* Experience using accounting packages, with Oracle experience being a bonus.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Self-starter with the ability to work to strict deadlines.
