Business Development Manager Role
About the Opportunity:
A forward-thinking organization is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth across its data center projects in Europe. The ideal candidate will oversee financial management, implement cost controls, and develop strategic procurement plans to meet project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a high-performing commercial team in a dynamic construction environment.
* Implement effective cost control measures and deliver timely financial reporting to stakeholders.
* Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies to ensure project timelines are met.
* Manage commercial risks, opportunities, and challenges while maintaining due diligence on subcontractors and suppliers.
* Oversee contracts, payment certifications, and cash flow management for clients and the supply chain.
* Collaborate with internal teams, maintain client relationships, and foster knowledge sharing for project success.
Requirements:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar field.
* Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in commercial management.
* Desirable: Main contractor experience with MEP and data center expertise.
* Strong communication, numeracy, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with various procurement methods, including lump sum and design-build.
* Proven ability to manage high-value projects efficiently.
