Position Summary
The INFANT Research Centre at UCC is now seeking a dynamic candidate for the key position of Senior Programme Manager (Senior Research Coordinator) for the ELEVATE Research Programme (prevention, early detection and intervention for early brain injury and cerebral palsy). This research programme is a Strategic Research Partnership Programme funded by Science Foundation Ireland and the Cerebral Palsy Foundation. The Senior Research Coordinator – will ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the ELEVATE Research Programme, manage and ensure full implementation of the programme policies and procedures, and engage effectively with key stakeholders and funders. The Senior Research Coordinator will work closely with the ELEVATE Programme executive and management teams to contribute operational expertise in the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies, practices, projects, delivery of KPIs, reporting and the development of funding proposals. As a member of the Management Team, the Senior Research Coordinator will be expected to contribute to the development and implementation of programme strategy and to contribute to business development. The Senior Research Coordinator will also play a key role in the implementation of ELEVATE reporting schedule in line with its research programme, ensuring that the scope and timelines of all research projects are on schedule, and that INFANT complies fully with mandatory reporting requirements.
The Senior Research Coordinator will be expected to support other aspects of the INFANT Centre’s work when relevant and the appointee will be expected to have a flexible approach in this regard. The ideal candidate will be proactive, enthusiastic, very organised and capable of managing a heavy and diverse workload. She/He will be able to work under pressure and be able to effectively manage many competing demands simultaneously.
