Job Description
Doyle Concrete Ltd are currently recruiting Multiple Plant Fitters to join their team at Carrickmerlin, Hugginstown, Co. Kilkenny, R95 KD30, Ireland. The salary range is €36,605 (€18.05 per hour) to €50,000 (€24.65 per hour), based on a 39-hour working week. Salary may be more based on experience and will increase proportionately if additional hours are required. Salary offered shall be based on relevant experience and qualifications.
The successful candidate will have full responsibility for routine maintenance and servicing of plant equipment and machinery in an efficient and safety-driven manner.
Principal Duties
Routine maintenance and servicing of plant equipment and machinery.
Development and implementation of a plant-wide preventative maintenance programme.
Diagnosing breakdowns.
Consulting with external contractors to schedule work on site and ensuring that all such work is fully approved in advance and completed to the required standards.
Scheduling periodic testing of safety equipment and maintaining records of the same through our maintenance platform.
Demonstrate a lead by example approach to all aspects of Health & Safety, be fully compliant with Company Health & Safety policies, procedures, systems, and rules, report all hazards and incidents and ensure that you always work safely.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience
Ability to effectively communicate clearly with operatives and managers to diagnose faults.
Ability to update self-knowledge by training as required and be health & safety aware.
Good knowledge of welding and gas cutting equipment.
Good knowledge of the following equipment is required: Crushers, Screeners, Excavators, Loading shovels, rollers, milling machines, etc.
Experience with electrically powered machinery and an appreciation of hydraulics, air, and electrically driven control systems.
Ability to use all hand tools associated with this industry.
Ability to communicate and be fluent in English (written and spoken).
Ability to work on own initiative or with a team and to meet strict deadlines.
Flexible and adaptable.
Proven background within the heavy plant industry with a minimum of 3 years post‑apprenticeship experience.
