Who are we looking for?
We are currently seeking a Head of Procurement & Vendor Management to lead the company in the efficient deployment of capital to maintain and grow the business by delivering cost-effective and proactive procurement services. This is a key role that will guide the business to meet its ambitious growth goals.
Minimum requirements:
* At least five years’ experience in a related operations role in a similar industry.
* Ability to conduct industry analysis to support business stakeholders with a commercial understanding of the marketplace.
* Understanding of clients’ (internal and external) needs and delivering appropriate sourcing strategies.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation or regulation for third-party vendor management, e.g., DORA.
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage priorities effectively.
* Strong negotiation skills with a track record of reducing costs.
Roles and Responsibilities
Business Support
* Partner with business teams for procurements and vendor management.
* Build and maintain relationships, providing professional advice on procurement strategies.
* Assist with vendor management to control expenditure.
* Challenge existing vendor expenditures and solutions for coherence.
Purchasing Approval Management
* Manage workflow approvals ensuring policy compliance.
* Own the Purchasing Delegated Authorization Matrix.
Procurement Data Management
* Ensure transactional integrity from PO to contract management.
* Maintain a contract register and report on contract statuses.
Policy & Procedures
* Ensure procurement processes comply with policies, guidelines, and legislation.
* Develop and maintain procurement and vendor management policies.
Procurement Reporting
* Review project delivery timelines and budgets.
* Complete expenditure compliance reports.
* Prepare procurement updates for executive reports.
* Maintain contract and regulatory registers.
Audit
* Coordinate internal and external audit queries related to procurement.
