Our client is seeking a highly skilled
Senior Business Systems Analyst Specialist
to support core
Manufacturing Finance & Controlling (FICO)
processes. In this role, you will analyze, design, test and implement business processes and technology solutions that deliver measurable value to the organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional business partners and IT teams to optimize existing workflows and define enhancements aligned with strategic objectives.
This position requires deep expertise in
manufacturing finance
and hands-on experience with
SAP ECC 6.0
and
SAP S/4HANA
.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Delivery
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze current processes and gather requirements for enhancements.
* Develop functional process designs and define reporting needs for management and operational oversight.
* Assess downstream and cross-functional impacts of proposed process changes.
* Translate business requirements into comprehensive test plans; perform unit testing and support integration and user acceptance testing (UAT).
* Ensure solutions align with business objectives and integrate effectively with enterprise systems.
Operational Support
* Maintain critical business processes by ensuring applications operate reliably and efficiently.
* Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in accordance with IT standards and protocols.
* Create and maintain documentation, including process flows, functional specifications, and high-level solution overviews.
* Deliver user training and share best practices across business and IT teams.
* Lead routine system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives within established project methodologies.
* Cultivate strong relationships with business stakeholders to maintain alignment of IT capabilities with evolving business needs.
Business Partnering & Strategic Alignment
* Act as the primary liaison between business teams and IT.
* Support intake, prioritization, and roadmap development for technology initiatives.
* Partner with Solution Architects and IT Leadership to ensure initiatives align with enterprise IT strategy.
* Participate in governance processes to ensure requirements are well-defined, approved, and executed successfully.
* Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to help drive digital transformation.
Required Experience & Skills
Education & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Systems, or a related field.
* 8+ years of professional experience
in business systems analysis, finance technology, or manufacturing finance.
SAP Finance & Controlling (Manufacturing) Expertise
* Cost Center Accounting:
planning, actuals, allocations, and period-end close.
* Product Costing:
costing for manufactured/purchased products, BOMs, routings, and closing processes.
* Production Accounting:
production orders, consumption postings, overhead absorption, variance analysis, and settlements.
* Inventory Accounting:
financial impacts of inventory movements, integration to P&L and balance sheet, and closing processes.
* Profit Centers:
structure design, hierarchy management, and reporting.
* Profitability Analysis (CO-PA):
end-to-end flows, derivation logic, profitability segment management, and reporting.
Tools & Techniques
* Proficiency with
Visio
,
Excel
,
Access
, and data analysis tools.
* Strong understanding of requirements-gathering techniques (use cases, prototyping, interviews, questionnaires).
* Ability to perform basic cost-benefit analysis for proposed process or system enhancements.
