About the Role
As a Transfrontier Shipment Officer, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and compliant export of hazardous waste. Your role will involve working closely with our teams to maintain the highest standards of regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with our teams to ensure all hazardous waste exports meet the required regulations, including notifications for TFS (Hazardous waste export licences) movements.
* Develop Relationships: Foster strong relationships with disposal and treatment outlets to facilitate seamless operations.
* Report Management: Prepare and submit monthly reports for green list waste, maintaining accurate records and data.
* TFS Database Management: Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the TFS database, processing refund applications efficiently.
* ERP Development Support: Assist in the development and implementation of ERP systems to enhance operational efficiency.
* Process Improvement: Collaborate with the TFS Manager to identify areas for improvement, develop strategies, and implement process enhancements.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: A scientific or technical discipline qualification is highly desirable, particularly with a chemistry background.
* Work Experience: Proven ability to work in fast-paced environments with strict deadlines.
* Collaboration Skills: Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with experience in supporting supply chain activities.
* Industry Expertise: Familiarity with hazardous waste management principles and practices would be an advantage.
* Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with shipment tracking systems and databases.
