Senior Site Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Engineer to join our team in Galway.
This role is responsible for delivering technical excellence to our clients. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for the following:
* Setting out using total station & GPS equipment.
* Establishing and maintaining procedures with design teams, clients, and subcontractors for information flow, approvals, meetings, and reporting.
* Recording daily activities, relevant information, and occurrences in the site management system, Procore (training provided).
* Conducting work in a safe manner, correcting and reporting those who do not.
* Complying with ISO company procedures.
* Reporting to the management team on programme schedules and ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and building standards.
* Undertaking surveys and ensuring engineering details are followed on site.
* Supervising subcontractors and checking the quality of works.
* Document reviews, scheduling, and attending site meetings to ensure overall compliance with the building schedule.
* Reporting to the Project Manager and senior management team on all aspects of engineering relating to the project.
* Managing and providing training to junior staff and engineers.
* Ensuring compliance with agreed construction methods, particularly those relating to Quality Assurance and Health & Safety.
* Managing project close-out, including securing warranties, guarantees, and acceptance of work, subcontract, and vendor closing, including as-built submissions.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
* An Engineering Degree.
* A good understanding of construction techniques and competency in all aspects of setting out, surveying, and temporary works.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong IT skills with good knowledge of MS Office & CAD.
* A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements within Irish construction sites.
* Strong Management Skills.
* A full Irish Driving licence.
