PE Global Healthcare in partnership with our client, a leading service provider of specialist residential and respite services for adults and children who have an intellectual disability, autism or acquired brain injury are currently recruiting Community Nurses / Registered Intellectual Disability Nurses (RNID) to cover services in the area of Co. Wicklow
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Unit Manager/designated person, the staff nurse will be responsible for the following, ensuring privacy, dignity and respect of the resident at all times.
Full-Time & Part-Time Contracts
The successful candidate requires
RGN/RNMH/RNID qualifications or other suitable nursing qualifications, and to be a Community Nurse on the current register as maintained by An Bord Altranais.
Have a strong interest and /or experience in working with children and young adults with an intellectual disability and their families.
Excellent communication, teamwork, interpersonal, organisational, and initiative skills.
Excellent understanding of Person-Centred Planning, Safeguarding, Risk Management, and Positive Behaviour Support for Children’s Rights.
Have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of National Standards for Residential Services for Children and Adults with Disabilities and relevant legislation pertinent to the support of children.
Full Driving Licence and Transport is required for this role.
