One of the key functions is Global Business Services, which provides shared services activities across finance, purchasing, quality, technical and customer services for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Various commercial and operational management teams oversee the supply of millions of rapid tests from HIV to diabetes to COVID-19, to patients in many regions across the world.
We are looking for an experienced General Ledger Accountant to join our team on a permanent contract. Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of monthly financial reports including analysis of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss;
* Preparation and review of Statutory Financial Statements;
* Liaising with external auditors for periodic and year-end review procedures for local statutory audits;
* Liaising with Tax Specialists and Advisors ensuring compliance with all external reporting requirements;
* Assisting with requirements for SOX Compliance and Reporting;
* Preparation, analysis and posting of journals at month end;
* Preparation and analysis of balance sheet reconciliations at month end;
* Ensure compliance with Corporate policies and accounting standards;
What you'll need:
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA equiv) with strong technical accounting skills;
* Third Level Degree or equivalent;
* 0-5 years relevant experience – preferably with Shared Service Centre and multinational corporation background;
* SAP/Oracle or other major ERP Systems experience is desirable;
* Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential;
* Be an effective team player with ability to work under own initiative;
* Strong computer skills especially MS Office;
