We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Social Care Leader to deliver high-quality residential social care and therapeutic support to young people.
The successful candidate will implement individualised care plans, promote positive outcomes, and contribute to a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement behaviour support plans, placement plans, and risk assessments in line with individual care needs.
Provide trauma-informed, child-centred residential care that supports wellbeing, emotional regulation, and resilience.
Support young peoples engagement with education, routines, and daily activities, including homework and life skills.
Maintain accurate daily records, logs, and incident reports, and contribute to ongoing service documentation.
Communicate effectively with parents/carers, social workers, schools, and other professionals.
Participate in team meetings, supervision, training, and service development activities.
Assist with domestic routines, including meal preparation, cleaning, and maintaining a homely environment.
Manage petty cash and follow financial procedures where required.
Uphold safeguarding, child protection, confidentiality, and relevant standards and policies.
Contribute to a safe, supportive residential setting that promotes independence and positive behaviour.
Qualifications and Requirements Relevant qualification in Social Care or related field (e.g., Level 7 Social Care, Psychology, Youth Work, Social Sciences, or equivalent).
Minimum 2 years experience working directly with children/young people in a social care setting.
Full, clean manual driving licence (where applicable).
Familiarity with national standards for childrens residential centres (or equivalent regulatory frameworks).
Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
Working Conditions Full-time, residential shift work including evenings and weekends.
