Atlantic Flight Training Academy (AFTA), Cork, Ireland are recruiting for EASA licenced (unrestricted), full-time multi-engine CRI/IRI flight instructors. The role also includes opportunities to support our aerial survey operations, offering exciting variety beyond standard flight instruction.
AFTA operate a large, well maintained, fleet of Cessna 172, Diamond DA42 / DA40, Vulcanair P68 & Slingsby aircraft training domestic and international cadets for some of the world's largest airlines and using the Vulcanair P68 aircraft to support our aerial survey division.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Flight, flight simulation and ground tuition – delivering instruction to students and completing the associated paperwork and record keeping.
* Support aerial survey operations as required, including ferry flights, positioning, and survey-specific procedures.
* Monitoring student progress, carrying out student reviews, providing constructive feedback, making sure flying standards are adhered to and being available if an issue arises.
* Ensuring that training is conducted in accordance with the approved syllabi.
* Maintaining a proactive approach to Health & Safety and acting upon any safety information or instructions in relation to flight operations and regulations as advised by the IAA and AFTA Head of Training.
* Ensuring that student welfare and discipline is monitored at all times.
* Having a cheerful, authoritative, skilful manner and leading by example in both dress and behaviour
* Maintaining full and accountable records for AFTA management.
* Ensuring that all company policies, procedures and manuals and statutory regulations are being adhered to.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES / QUALIFICATIONS:
* EASA licence with a minimum of CPL/MEIR FI (A) IRI & CRI is essential. Must have privileges to teach MEP CPL & MEP IR.
* Minimum number of instructor hours = 500 or more
* Minimum of ICAO English level 5 or 6 required
* Current EASA Medical Certificate
* EU/EEA/UK citizen or valid permit to live and work in Ireland without restriction.
* Knowledge of Aeronautical Legislation, rules (EASA Operations etc.).
* Knowledge of EASA PART-ORA, ATO Manuals, ATPL theory subjects and practice is required along with knowledge of aircraft and the aviation industry.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
* Flight training management experience is highly desirable
* Other Desirable ratings; Flight Instructor Instructor (FII), Flight Examiner (FE) dual EASA/CAA licence, UPRT Instructor

This role is rostered over 7 days of the week and throughout holidays as the roster runs 364 days of the year and varies according to the season.
