Purchasing Officer Role
As a key member of the purchasing team, this role is responsible for providing administrative support in the procurement process. The Purchasing Officer will be involved in reviewing and issuing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, and managing new supplier set-ups.
Key Responsibilities:
* Procurement Support: Assist in the preparation and review of purchase orders to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
* Supplier Engagement: Develop and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential suppliers to achieve best value for money.
* Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stock control.
* Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and submit regular reports on procurement activities and ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
* Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to procurement and supply chain management.
Requirements:
* Experience: 3+ years of experience in administration or a related field.
* Regulatory Environment: Familiarity with regulatory environments such as healthcare, pharma, or medical device industries is an asset.
* IT Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
* Skill Set: Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
