Lauda Europe is currently recruiting for a Chief Engineer to join the Engineering Department of Europe’s Largest Airline Group.This is an exciting role leading the Engineering team of Ryanair Group’s A320 fleet across Lauda’s four operational bases. The position is key to the wider Group’s Engineering and Maintenance functions as Ryanair aims to grow to over 800 aircraft and 300 million guests per year within the next 10 years.Roles and Responsibilities:Ensuring compliance with the objectives and requirements of the Lauda Europe Safety Policy and Safety Management Systems as they apply to staff within their area of responsibility.Managing and supervising continuing airworthiness activities to ensure all are compliant with EU Regulations and TM-CAD standards.Notifying the Ryanair Director of Engineering and the Lauda Europe Accountable Manager of any deficiencies requiring attention.Ensuring aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition and meet Lauda Europe’s operational requirements.Communicating with the TM-CAD on airworthiness and mandatory occurrence reporting matters.Revising and submitting the Lauda Europe CAME and amendments for TM-CAD approval.Coordinating actions on airworthiness occurrences and initiating necessary investigations and follow-ups.Assessing subcontractors and contracted maintenance providers for compliance with regulations and contracts.Ensuring aircraft maintenance is performed by approved organizations according to the maintenance program and TM-CAD standards.Ensuring procedures and standards are followed during maintenance and airworthiness activities.Performing competency assessments as required.Responding to compliance deficiencies identified during audits.Reviewing, maintaining, and analyzing Lauda Europe’s Approved Maintenance Program for effectiveness.Overseeing the development and implementation of maintenance and reliability programs.Participating in Safety Review Boards and Safety Action Groups as required.Conducting Safety Risk Assessments and managing changes per Part-CAMO requirements.Implementing preventive actions to maintain Lauda Europe’s SACA ratio at acceptable levels.Ensuring ADs and mandatory SBs are correctly implemented; reviewing non-mandated SBs based on risk.RequirementsMinimum of 5 years relevant work experience, including at least 2 years in the aeronautical industry in a suitable position.Knowledge of Human Factors principles and Safety Management Systems.Practical experience in applying aviation safety standards and operating practices.A relevant engineering degree or aircraft maintenance technician qualification with additional education accepted by a competent authority.Benefits include discounted and unlimited travel to over 230 destinations, a defined contribution pension scheme, death in service benefit up to twice the annual salary, 20 days of annual leave (increasing to 22 days after 12 months and 25 days after 3 years), and options for up to 5 additional unpaid leave days per year.
