Business Engagement Specialist Lead member engagement and growth through relationship management, renewals, and business development within a mission-driven organisation.
Business in the Community Ireland (BITCI) is excited to invite candidates to apply for the position of Business Engagement Specialist in BITCI's Business Engagement Team.
This is an exciting new role created to advance our updated strategy.
Purpose of the role: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Engagement Specialistto join our newly formed Business Engagement Team.
The role will report to the Head of Business Engagement and will focus on driving our reach for impact.
Job Summary This role is responsible for managing relationships with a portfolio of members, identifying opportunities for growth through upselling, renewals, and new member acquisition.
Driving alignment of BITCI teams to support the delivery of One BITCI proposition and associated processes Full-Time (35 hours per week) - subject to a 6-month probationary period.
Salary €44,400-€52,000 per annum DOE.
Role is based in Dublin (hybrid role, min 2 days in the office location in Dublin 7).
Strong IT skills with full proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Core Responsibilities Account Management Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned members and partners, ensuring a high level of satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
Support onboarding of new members, guiding them through the benefits and services available.
Proactively monitor member engagement to anticipate and address needs.
Manage the member renewal process for your portfolio, addressing any concerns and maximizing retention.
Maintain accurate member records and communication logs in CRM systems.
Aligned Business in the Community Ireland Proposition Identify internal processes involved in offering a One-BITCI aligned customer journey to members.
Drive alignment of the internal processes to support the delivery of an aligned One-BITCI member/partner experience Share member and partner feedback to internal teams as input to shape the ongoing development of services.
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver value-added event experiences and ensure consistent delivery of the BITCI proposition.
Business Development • Identify and engage prospective members in agreed sector(s) through research, outreach, and networking, focusing on specific sectors.
• Develop a deep understanding of target markets and industries to communicate a compelling BITCI proposition to these markets.
•Support the development of proposals and presentations to communicate membership and/or partnership/sponsorship value to potential members.
• Participate in relevant industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build relationships and promote membership growth.
This may require speaking at events.
• Track and report on new business development activities, including pipeline management and conversion rates.
Person specification Qualifications and Knowledge Educated to degree level (or with equivalent experience), preferably in business, social sciences, sustainable development, or a related discipline.
Experience 5+ years of experience in account management, client services, or business development, ideally within a membership-based or service-oriented organisation.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Experience in client relationship management at senior level.
Solid track record of acquiring new business, working with targets and clear KPIs.
Familiarity with sustainability
