Intermediate Quality Engineer (QA/QC) – Design Consultancy (Site & Design Interface)
Key Responsibilities
Implement and maintain project-specific QA/QC plans in line with company and industry standards.
Review design documentation, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance, coordination, and buildability.
Monitor site activities to verify that works are carried out in accordance with approved designs, standards, and quality benchmarks.
Develop and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and quality records.
Coordinate closely with design teams (electrical, mechanical, public health, structural) to resolve quality and compliance issues.
Conduct site inspections, audits, and witness testing, ensuring traceability and proper documentation.
Identify non-conformances, lead investigations, and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) through to close‑out.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of company‑wide QA/QC procedures.
Participate in project meetings, technical reviews, and handover processes, ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the lifecycle.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders on all quality‑related matters.
Requirements
Degree‑qualified in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, or related discipline).
Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a QA/QC, site engineering, or design coordination role, ideally within building services or multidisciplinary consultancy environments.
Strong understanding of construction quality standards, inspection processes, and documentation systems.
Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Revit BIM) and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, building regulations, and industry best practices).
Full clean driving licence and willingness to attend site as required.
